Lake Tahoe Mindfulness Community (LTMC) meets every Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30am at The Studio in Meyers.
Sessions typically begin with 30 minutes of silent meditation, followed by 30 minutes of community sharing or book discussion. Discussions are usually oriented around the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh.
As of May 2020, LTMC is reading/discussing "The Art of Living" by Thich Nhat Hanh. But having the book is not required, as extra copies are usually available at the sangha (gathering of meditators).
If you're new to mindfulness meditation, you may want to read Thich Nhat Hanh's short How to Sit in Meditation for some simple guidance before attending your first session.
LTMC operates on a donation basis.
